Channel 4 did a great piece about a week ago where they went to Scotland - outside of the SNP strongholds - and interviewed people about voting intentions.
Anecdotal and qualitative but it made it pretty clear that people were swinging from the SNP and to the Tories not Labour.
I can't explain why the Tories but the why they were shifting away from the SNP was that they didn't appreciate another independence referendum being on the cards and generally a feeling that the SNP had got too big for their boots.
Seems they'd caught the zeitgeist...
Has anyone talked about Scotland yet?
SNP have 37% of the vote after a disastrous night. The majority of Scottish MPs are now unionists. That's indyref2 out of the window then...
