They've been a political no-show since Blair re-drew the sea boundaries to shave off a few extra percent of Scotland's GDP and dilute any claims to Independence.

Not to forget the ridiculous independence referendum stance (under Miliband)--'we're against it because without Scotland we'll never have enough seats to beat the Tories'--that worked out rather well.

I think you're really thinking of Gordon Brown's strange disappearing 11th hour "Vow" during the IndyRef that although printed on the front page of every newspaper was in fact never legally or morally binding upon any of its supposed main UK party signatories.
