  • Batman still isn't ready IMHO, and neither is Kakkers...

  • Batshuayi impressed end of season but he's the same age as Lukaku and Kane and nowhere near as close to being the finished article as those two. He's being judged as if he just stepped up from the U21s.

Don't get me wrong, I like what I've seen but not sure if he's going to be the world class striker that we need.
    Same counts for Kakkers.

  • I'm hoping there's another deal coming that'll shore us up, we need a world class striker not an improver... I'd still keep Kakkers and Batman on the bench... But who?

  • That's one hell of a bench.

  • I'd take Kane on current form.

  • Plays well when he wants to and behaves like a toddler every time he's on International duty

  • Great player...

  • I don't trust him, he's got a whiff of the Sturridge about him... Get your head down, do your job...

  • but how is he going to get better if he doesn't get the game time?

Pretty sure you're not going to be spending (if @Pistanator gets his wish) £100m on Lukaku for him to sit on the bench, or compete for the lone striker role, with, if as @>>>>>> desires you get another world class striker (Morata? Lacazette? Mbappe?)

Are chelsea in such financial straits that Abramovich needs to balance the books? Do you have to sell Costa to finance the purchase of a replacement striker?

They'll need to sell him to avoid falling foul of the FFP regs. Owners can't just pump money into the club.

  • He was so shit and disinterested the other week at West Ham, he made James Collins look like Franco Baresi

  • Like PSG and Real Madrid yeah? 🤔

  • Not sure how Mbappe would slot in, Morata would be a better fit... Word is he's going to Manure now anyway...

    I'll take both, thanks...

  • Sure there are always ways to game the system. Having the King write off your debts every x years is handy.

Club A buys a player for £87m from Club B.
Separately Club B's owner just happens to buy some "consulting services", or a washer, from Club A's owner for £25m.

Club B's owner has effectively pumped £25m of his own cash into the deal outside of FFP regs with the sticker price of the player being artificially inflated.

  • was trying to think of world class strikers that are available, first three that popped into my head. Anyway if as @Greenbank alludes to you need to keep on the right side of FFP, can't see you spunking HUGE amounts on two strikers.
Think it's going to be one in, one out. just don't know where you'll sell Costa on to? If the Chinese can't stump up extraordinary cash, Atletico can't sign anyone, PSG and Real have their eyes on Mbappe, who else is going to have the cash to sign him for the money that you'd want (new rumour, that AC Milan flush with China money might be after him), how much would Chelsea be wanting for him £50m? £60m? Is he actually worth that much at his age (28)?

  • For those of us unable to keep up with the 4 million players at Chelsea, who is Kakkers?

  • Lukaku, Andy...

  • Diego Costa is off to China - I think Chelsea will get £60m+ for him.

PSG are going to sign Aubameyang
Madrid are going to sign Hazard

  • Hazard to Real, even with his broken ankle?
Whose his replacement? Rely on Wilian? Or would it be a swap deal with Rodriguez coming in the other direction?

  • Costa could go to Milan I suppose. Montella is quietly going about his business with 3 top signings already in Kessie, Mussachio and Rodriguez.

Rumour that City want Walker for £60m and Barca want Bellerin for £40m - am I missing something here?!

  • I'm not sure Hazard will go this year, maybe in a couple of years time... The pull of ZZ is too strong, he will go... Hopefully later rather than sooner...

What the fuck do I know tho'?

  • I will cry if Eden leaves this summer...

  • new liverpool signing dominic solanke scores twice to get england u20's through to the world cup final

  • Something something Everton goals and assists.

  • Do you work for the BBC?

Failing to mention Lookman also scored

    4th goal of the tournament
