Waterproof shorts?

  • Anyone got anything to recommend? I can never be arsed to get changed where I am going and don't like wondering around with with soggy padded lycra crotch under my regular shorts....

Looking at a couple of Endura ones - the Single Track or Superlite Shell Shorts... anyone got either before I part with my cash?

  • The Endura Superlight Short is really good, id slap a mud guard on as well as it helps a load! the sks super dry (i think its called) is really good, just clips onto your seatpost with an easy strap and they are only a tenner. oh and go to a real bike shop and ask them about stuff thats the best way. none of this lazy interweb shopping, bah!

  • i have the altura dryline trousers, wore them today with roubaix legwarmers and my new shimano goretex shoes
    warm dry and not sweaty.

  • How about rainlegs Wiggle link

They just cover the front part that gets the wettest and don't restrict your legs.

  • Fixedwheelnut How about rainlegs Wiggle link

They just cover the front part that gets the wettest and don't restrict your legs.

    and they look fucking hysterical!

got to get a pair of those...!

  • Perfect for a nightclub round Vauxhall too.

  • i'm wearing these tomorrow

    fuck it.

  • Something like these perhaps?

  • ~~anyone have any waterproof shorts? i dont want a think polyester type short, but more of a treated cotton thing?
anyone got some or do most people just ride out the bad weather? ~~

nevermind ive going with these when i get a chance to get down to decathlon:

edit: never bothered deleting the comment in case other people were interested. (not just having conversation with myself....honest)

  • I have some goretex shorts in black 36 waist - (not sure exactly) but either gore or endura/v nice quality - yours for £15 collected from EC4

  • I need some, maybe.
What's the best ones for cycling? Suggestions from experience.

To go over bibshorts, so just waterproof.

  • I cycled 12h in constant rain the other week what would you want to get out of these?

  • Not wet shorts. So my crotch doesn't rot.
    No mudguards on race bike.

  • I have a pair of camo coloured waterproofs from the army surplus that I cut off into shorts.

They have a very simple elastic drawstring waist so the fit isn't great but keep me bone dry.

  • Endura make some good ones.

  • Yeah they seemed good. I found some gore ones discounted on crc somwill try them first.

  • I've some Paclite ones that have been great over the years, they're Scott branded. It always amazes me more people don't use fully waterproof over shorts. Hey ho

  • 2nd the Endura

wonder when that new Shake-dry goretex jacket fabric will become (over)shorts?

  • @skinny I have a pair of Endura in Small you can have for cheap. They are a few years old, but I've worn them 2 or 3 times and have been in a tub ever since. I'll dig them out to check the model.

  • Thanks but I don't think small will fit me. I've actually pretty big thighs, yet no sprint!
Let me know though, what model, just incase.

I ordered those reduced gore ones I saw on CRC, so hopefully they're good.
