  • That brake bridge has become Caren's signature, I guess.

  • Soon, they will all be built by robots. To start with I will be building them in batches of 30 with Caren, but soon I hope to be exploiting young children in dangerous workshop conditions purely for my financial benefit. #brexitopportunities

  • Above in reply to @damon

  • That is looking proper lovely. And secretly my 853 Ribble is the nicest bike I own. Really tempted.. Checking

  • Order placed, deposit paid, invoice no. 0001. Result! So excited even though the bike isn't even for me! Back in the UK mid-August so really hoping to pick up in person.

Build will be a fight between what I think the bike needs and the size of the GF's purse. Going to spend a bit more on the wheels and less on finishing kit so that can be updated later when she's settled into it a bit more. Probs Hope or DT wheels, unless there's another option which has easy 12mm / QR compatibility?. Going to go saddle shopping soon. Tiagra 4700 with Spyres to start to keep compatibility with the rest of our 10-speed stuff.

Hopefully this will be a one-bike-does-all-forever deal, with the specific short range goal of a tour of Iceland's ring road next summer.

  • Ribble is a good example to use actully as I believe Mike Kowal made a lot of the Ribbles in batches.

I remember reading somewhere that he had 7 or so frame jigs on the go at once.

  • Also interested in cyclescheme, and whether that is the final paint option or will they all be slightly different? Id be super keen on a block color choice..

  • I'm sure you will be over subscribed, but I'm a second punter who would prefer thru axle over QR on the rear.

  • QR on the rear is absolutely fine with discs, it only really became a necessary need on MTBs when they started having moving twisty swingarms and all that. Does look clean though.

These frames look mint too, good luck with the project.

  • Yes TIG'ed to the max.

  • OK, so having looked into Cycle Scheme, it is not something we are going to be able to offer to start with unfortunately.

Going forward these will be available in shops that do accept Cycle Scheme (details to be announced) but they'll be at RRP then.

    Soz

  • What he said.

  • Trigger pulled. I'm hoping that frame serial will correspond to invoice nmbr to remind me of the need to be faster.

  • very tempting, might pull the trigger. 55 it will for me, but what is the size pictured ?

  • Ditto

    #00003 for me.

@coldharbour, sent a couple questions re the fork and framesizing to the email address.

Convincing myself this is the way to n-1 or maybe even n-2.

  • Wife has given me permission to indulge myself. I just need to check with @scherrit what size will fit me best. Can I be put down on the list, just with frame size tbc?

  • Pick a size and Dr op us an email and we can sort it no problem!

  • Still trying to decide if I should put a deposit down. Been drooling over this at work and saw this article by bikeradar with 650c on it. Looks good imo
If tyou dont mind me posting it at all @coldharbour

  • jeebus, half tempted to whack one on the plastic for posterity. What frame would you say for a middle earther with a 30" inside leg? I'll do some adding up...

  • No very greatful, I didnt even know they'd done that article so great to see. I spent the whole of bespoked in a foul mood this year with a stinking cold so most of it passed me by.

  • Hard to say, take a look at the Geo chart and see what matches current bikes would be my suggestion.

  • 8 down, 22 to go....

  • was it 30 frames? thought it was 25. Dont matter, got the blessings from missus so I reckon I'll be getting one!
