Gueye was the best midfielder in The Prem(after Kante) for the last 2 seasons...all the usual shite; tackles won, interceptions, passes etc...
We paid £8m for him
Lookman from Charlton for £10m looks an ace prospect. Add that to the superb youth we've got coming through(Davies, Dowell, Kenny)
Walsh really needs to start earning his wages now though and unearth at least 4/5 new players with maybe 1 or 2 marquee signings
As long as one of them isn't 'Wazza'

Sorry meant to say Walsh and Koeman HAVE good track records of finding bargains, unearthing gems, but as we found with the bale money, finding the right player for the right cash can be a bit of a crap shoot.
Only eriksen and lamela from the seven we brought can be classified as unqualified successes, lost money on Paulinho, soldado, capoue, and chiriches, (though we may not have since all transfer fees are paid in instalments so when we sold them did we keep paying the instalments or use that cash to pay the rest of the fee in a lump sum?) and the only one we made a profit on was chadli who I would have kept myself...
So a strike rate of approx 40% (my maths is shit I'm sure @Chalfie will help a brother out) which sounds good if you're including chadli into the mix or a less impressive 27% (again my maths is shit) if you take him out.. -

yeah, still not convinced, you're relying on every find being cheap, making an immediate impact and fitting into Koeman's way of playing football.
I'm not sure Walsh/Koeman have good track records of finding players, but the odds will be against everyone having the impact of Mahrez, Kante, (did Gueye have a great season?)
Anyway good luck to you with that.
I'm hoping Spurs actually buy some players in July, rather than waiting till the season starts..
