Why people will vote conservative? I think you underestimate the willing ignorance and stupidity of the general public. There are for some people, valid reasons to vote conservative. However, many who should vote labour or lib dem, will vote conservative for no real good reason, mainly that they've always done so and to vote for Labour or Lib D is unthinkable; literally they haven't even looked at manifests and considered the options. And many will not vote at all, because they're too uneducated to care, sadly. Oh, and the xenophobes are lapping up this Maybot down with terror bullshit.
Interestingly, I spoke with an older lady, friends mother, the other day, she'll be voting labour for the first time ever. Simply due to JC's stance on War, like many people she's fed up with and tired of wars. She voted for Brexit. She's also very well educated.
Also, I spoke with my mother, who's a die hard conservative. She'll be voting lib dem, she's appalled with May and what the conservatives have done. Pro EU.
I think there is a lot to play for.

Anyone else notice (hard to not), the Lib dems have totally faded into the background, they really have become irrelevant to the media, sadly.

Also there's a lot of people who's only information is the front page of the Daily Mail.

Or the back page of the Daily Star.

My dad takes the Daily Mail as gospel.

So does mine. He's a non-white immigrant university professor :/
* ok not actually gospel, but it certainly feeds his worldview.

Well they don't to be fair *they've just paid for an advert.
*the small group of millionaires who fund the Tory party.

Of course. He's ex-Navy, I think part of their pension terms are that he has to vote Tory.

You're looking in the wrong places. Most Tory voters aren't influenced by, or visible on, social media.
Their voting preference can't be affected by a meme or a viral video.
Too many Labour supporters think they're really supporting the campaign by hammering away at their 300 left leaning followers on Twitter and Insta.
Elections will continue to be won on the doorstep for the next 20 years and maybe longer.

Radio saying growth in Lab support is in existing Lab seats. Reality that not much will change tomorrow/fri.

That's what I've been fearing. Swell in youth support would presumably be largely in cities, uni towns and generally places that would already vote labour anyway? Rural towns where their right wing mums and dads still live largely unaffected.

No-one knows yet, it's all speculation for now.
Whatever happens it's unlikely to be the Tory landslide that was expected at the start of the campaign. May will be a lame duck, as she will be perceived as having made a major mistake by her own party for going for a snap election, and Labour have rediscovered their mojo, which hopefully bodes well for the future.

May becoming a lame duck = five years of Tory rule under a party which is potentially aligned further to the right.
O'er t'ere lad.
