Am a little bit concerned about the Sonos set-up we've invested in now they're into this HomePod demonstration - although to be honest a lot of the features are already in Sonos' speakers, bar the Siri voice control...it's basically a Sonos/Alexa hybrid.

Think they'll be okay, hopefully Apple aren't out to obliterate all competition...

I'm interested to see how this new home kit audio interface works. Sonos is fantastic for sound but the sonos app interface is far from seamless, if they can let us stay out of the sonos app then our sonos kits will be improved by today's announcements. If they keep sonos sandboxed inside their own app they will just create more reason for homepod, hmm I wonder which is more likely?

Anyone have a late-2012 iMac with 1tb HDD? Found one for sale (£425, cheap?) but worried that anything without an SSD / Fusion Drive will be slow. It's had very light use.

Anyone know how I can get an appointment at an actual apple store rather then an 3rd party retailer? Want to try and get my screen replaced on my macbook pro as the antiglare has come off and it looks like shit. Going the online route isn't giving me any options for appointments at an actual apple store at all. Just this mean that they are all booked up?

Much want on the iMac pro but I can't really see any actual need for it. It's been years since I had to wait for my mac to complete something and I can't really see that changing. Unless that new pro screen is tempting enough...

I can't get very excited about an iMac... Standalone machine please, a turbo-charged Mac Mini would whet my appetite atm...

MacBook got the Kaby Lake processor- does that mean they get the upgrade to 16 Gb of RAM, of would that have been part of the announcement?
