• I'm fine, it was close, and I'm glad it went my way rather than the other, just a sickening feeling when despite riding on the roads for years, being aware and knowledgeable about what traffic's doing or could do, something like this happens which erodes your faith in your cycling abilities.
A warning, which I feel like I didn't need, about how unpredictable and careless drivers can be, which ultimately could cause me serious injury.

Don't be too hard on yourself dude. It was likely the level of your cycling abilities that prevented you from ending up under the car, in spite of the lack of attention.

  • If you don't learn from your mistakes you'll keep on making them.

  • Erodes is probably too strong a word, more momentary doubt, by the time I rode home I was back to normal.
I enjoy being crash/accident free, it's not so much the pain rather the rehab/physio that I'd like to avoid..
Anyway doing the Brompton commute today and back on big bike tomorrow so will let you know how I feel.
    Thanks for the positive waves!
