This might be the most Le Col thing I've ever seen. https://lecol.net/collections/chavenage-sportive-bought-to-you-by-le-col-and-eisberg

And your problem is?
-
• #1233
Meh, it's not the most exorbitantly priced of mass participation events and Eisberg have been very supportive of cycling events. It seem pretty innocuous to me unless I'm missing something?

Oh nothing really, I just think that it's so on brand it's funny. Country house, wine tasting etc.

It looks like is being pulled together by people behind Canyon Bike Channel racing team, presumably to promote the sponsors of said team.
Alcohol free wine can GTFO tho...

I saw a whole load of them out in the lanes on Saturday morning. Quite an experience.

No single element of the kit is bad, but its just a mess overall.

the leg grippers. the pattern on the sleeves. the ec1 crest. that's three.

• #1246
Agreed,
I wonder if -on sizes that permit it and failing of QA - the Leg Gripper occasionally gets stitched together at the rear as LOL aptly surmising the design effort. -
• #1247
hah!

Ignoring EC1; is Le Col Vulpine of 2018? Why do these brands exist? What market gap are they filling?
Or is this a case of ex-pro having run out of choices to make money after retirement hence a crowdfunded "brand"? I like Dan.

Is it not just that there is spare cash to be had? I doubt we're at market saturation for expensive (if not quality or actually useful) cycling shit. Call it elite and pre-vetted with a bit of san-serif fonting and people will make money from selling some kit. Look at the Rapha thread, people are desperate to spend money on something. A brand coming close will definitely sell some gear
