I agree.
My point was though, that by protecting bridges, the threat just shifts to elsewhere. You can't protect everywhere from these style of attacks.Have you seen how busy the main areas of the city are? The idea you could run into shops is flawed. It would be a stampede, sadly like what happened in Turin.
Two bridges being at the centre of two attacks in close succession, in lieu of putting them everywhere, seems like an easy way to show "action".
