I went to Beaulieu Motor Museum this morning for their Porsche event, which was fun. I took my X-Pro 2 and had it in point and shoot mode - aperture, ISO and shutter-speed all on A for automatic. Here's an example:
Cranking the exposure compensation dial round to +1 got things reasonable, but the camera didn't appear to be metering the light correctly - to my eye, anyway.
Was this to do with the nature of the day? It was bright but overcast.
Was there bright sunlight directly on the car? If the metering was set to spot of centre weighted then it's likely that it has exposed light on the car which is much brighter then what is around it.

Or is my camera borked? How can I tell?
