Fizik Gobi - Kium. There's a difference between chromo, kium and carbon.
Carbon like torture board, chromo ok, kium super plush.
Also try more angles on the Flite. I had a minimalist Selle that hurt until I found a sweet spot, now it's merely uncomfortable but as I should barely be sitting on that bike I don't care.

Also did Scott Marathon Wantage round on Sunday . Had previously boycotted as thought 300+ riders on the Ridgeway was madness.
Super well organised, great route, avoided most walkers, no horses, very fast or chilled as you wished and really good fun. May well travel to the next round in Somerset. Massive field - 350riders on the 80km course alone.

Which distance did you do? I'm doing the Exmoor event (and also possibly the Peaks in Sept) - mates have done it previously and said it's good fun and well organised as you say.
I rode up Porlock on the road bike last year and thought there must be some good descents around there...

weight penalty puts me off, but for £45 I can definitely try and see if I like/would use...

Looked to be some quality hucking there.

weight on the bike just turns into muscles in your legs, besides, more weight means you go downhill faster anyway!

Anybody into a long travel 26" bouncer? Liteville 301 for sales. I gotta get rid :(

^ Nice. Have you looked at the Nicolai Saturn? Pure porn in aluminium
-
• #10442
No, I hadn't seen it. What have you done!!!!
-
• #10443
There's not much info on it, and it's more expensive. Also it's quite a bit longer than what I want, even in Small! I think the liteville is much more refined.

Much as I like the Saturn I'm not a fan of mismatched travel and the reinforcing strut alongside the shock is a bit weird.
-
• #10445
Agreed, I prefer the layout of the Liteville and the matched 120/120 travel appeals more.
WTF is that strut on the saturn?

Needless German over engineering ruining everything. How can a strut like that add anything unless the downtube is hopelessly under spec. Doesn't look like they're proud of it as it's hidden in all other photos

I wish my internet browser featured a stress-analysis tool ;-)

Might be wrong, but something to do with allowing as much post insertion as pos?
OK, I need a new saddle as my Flite is hurting my ass to hell.
Priority to something that's comfortable long term (like 2 days of singletrack long term). So long as it's not a Brooks I'm interested.
Anyone got any recs?
