I still haven't listened to the interview (it's not sounding like an attractive prospect to be honest) but I definitely agree with this:

the way it's been represented by the BBC has been totally disproportionate to similar blunders made by the PM.

Lack of time, motivation, a gruelling Italian lesson schedule ahead of a holiday in Italy next week, news fatigue and a genuine dislike of awkward political interviews (The Thick of It is my idea of hell, not fun, I used to work in public affairs and it's all too real)..?
