Oh man - I wish I could come on this. Currently a bit of an asthmatic mess so no night riding for a bit. Hope to be back in the game for the late summer re-run. #travelatorlove

Was glorious. Highlights were the 2 hour sunset, the unsolicited bucket attack and the still cool train beers. Also managed to get in some "on-trend" gravel miles. Winner.
Lovely shots, i got one useable one..

Planning on doing this ride tomorrow afternoon (23/04) as I've got the day off work if anyone fancies it?

Guess no one else get St. Geo's day as a day off. Hope you had a good ride, this is a cracking route.

Yeah really enjoyed this route, sooo much scenery. Those cross winds are strong in certain points mind, took me by surprise haha
Welwyn Garden City
Apparently there's a pub now, but I think it closes about the same time as the Sainsbury's. We could go old-school and bring beers to stash for the return.
Anyway, with 39 miles of (almost) all down hill, a couple of cans for the train home can be an optional gilding of the lilly.
Kings Cross station at 19:18 (allow 15 mins to get tickets) to get to Welwyn Garden City by 19:51.
Trains home (hopefully with beers) 22.25, 22.54, 23.29, last train at 00.21
