Too short that it bind the drivetrain even without the tensioner?

Yes

Any reason I shouldn't buy one of these?
-
• #84030
Of course you shouldn't buy it. There are more expensive things that do the same job. (Though it may not be the best work stand around).

Does anyone know what the colour code / recognised technical name for ^?
Or to ask another way, what's the best method to get something similar reproduced?

Looks like they just added a lot of glitter to the clear coat.

Ah cool, that makes sense thanks! I'm also into that green as well, would be good to pin it down, even if it's not exact so I can try and buy something similar

Is there a black anodized non set back variant of the cheap and functional Kalloy seatpost?

Colour matching on screen is always a bit of a mug's game, but take a look at Bob Jackson's colour samples at http://www.bobjacksoncycles.co.uk/frame-resprays/ - metallics and flamboyants are the ones you'll want to examine. Flamboyants are translucent colour coats over a metallic silver or gold base coat; they tend to have greater depth than plain metallics, but are significantly more fragile.

Kalloy make inline posts too, resold under all the usual house brands.

I got the £30 ALDI one and all it did was make me appreciate how much easier it was to work on a bike off the ground. I upgraded to a Park PCS-10. The cheaper ones tend to just let the bike hang whatever way it wants. A better stand is well worth the extra money IMO

I want these,
or these,
or another similarly shaped grip but in lock on.
I can't find them or anything like them. Anyone here know of any?
PS. I know the foam version of the Ritchies is available in lock on but from what I hear, they're shite.

Hmm. Probably sage advice. Cheers.

This one has a keyed joint to stop the clamp rotating so it's probably the best bargain I've found yet.
I bought the Aldi one for £15 on sale, but I probably wouldn't have paid £30 for it, you have to really cinch the various clamps up, but it's good for odd jobs where I don't want to bother with my Euro-style one.

Is it feasible to have a saddle 3D printed if you like the shape? Would any of the types of plastic used in 3D printers be strong enough (without making the saddle ridiculously thick)?

I have an original leather Flite saddle on my bike, when it gets wet it becomes a waterlogged sponge, and stays this way for a few days. it destroys jeans and isn't exactly kind on bib shorts either when its this way.
Do people use a product to seal their leather saddles? or must I find a synthetic saddle

Does anyone know what these Russian pins/badges are?
Thanks.

They seem to be Soviet MIG aircraft badges.

product to seal their leather saddles?
Had the same issue with my worn old flite. Found some leather boot waterproofing stuff in a tin in my mum's cupboard last summer, smeared some on the saddle on a warm day and it's been fine since. Probably time to grease it up a bit again now come to think of it. /csb
