If you get strava premium and she gets strava you can have her track you with it, just using your phones. It uses the battery quickly so you'd need a charger for very long rides, but assuming you both have a strava compatible phone it is an easy way to do basic tracking. You can try out premium for free for a month(?) and see if it fits the bill.

I'm pretty sure there are standard free apps for live tracking.
iPhones can do it built in.

Also Google have just added it back to Maps on Android.
Recent Garmins can also do it via phone for connectivity.

The Google thing is good to know, thanks, will check it out.
Of course app is maybe the way to go.
But I am reluctant to give Strava money. -

My wife suffers from similar anxiety, I just text her late at night before she goes to bed, and then in the early hours, so when she wakes up she knows I'm ok.
If anything riding through the night is safer due to the complete lack of traffic, just keep reiterating that too!
Anyone use one of these while touring?
I started riding longer distances this year, doing brevets but also planning some solo stuff.
My girlfriend is not that comfortable with me away, riding through the night, even on brevets where theres someone around in case of shit happening.
And I am in turn not happy about her worrying while I enjoy myself (or yell at hills).
So they are not exactly cheap, and you need a service plan. Thoughts?
