  • £50k? I'd have paid that.

I'm well passionate about cycling so I bet I could have made it work.

  • 50K and existing debt?

  • It will be for stock and brand identity etc, no liability for existing debt.

  • Damn, the forum should have bought it.

Then we could have spent years arguing over designs and never sold anything.

  • Maybe we could at least have agreed on some caps ...

  • We could have just shared that stock equally and close the whole thing down 👇

  • you mean "shared those socks equally..."

  • Yeah :)

  • Update:
Administrators' statement removed from website, not much clue given in company info.

My last order (placed a day before it went truly public on website etc) arrived yesterday. Yay socks. No pointless magazine or musette included.

  • I asked for a refund through PayPal in lieu of socks, which came through Friday

  • Dear Geraldine,

My name is Barry Dunn and I am the CEO of Mango Bikes. As you may already be aware, Vulpine Performance Ltd was put into administration on 5th of May. The administrators, RSM, then had a duty to sell any assets of value to the best bidder.

After a competitive asset sale period of three weeks, Mango Bikes Limited was chosen as the winning bid by RSM, and we acquired Vulpine's assets on Friday the 26th May. We are in no doubt that the administrators chose Mango Bikes Limited as we offered the best deal for creditors and have visions for taking the business forwards, whilst keeping it relatively unchanged for the customer. In addition to this, we also have a significant advantage regarding economies of scale, allowing us to operate at reduced costs, which were previously unattainable by Vulpine Performance Ltd.

Like so many, we have admired what Vulpine has been able to achieve in the urban cycling space, which we also inhabit as an ecommerce urban bicycle brand. Cashflow issues can hit any business, no matter how fast they grow and we are glad to be able to help a brand we have looked up to, though we understand that this does not help you as an investor.

We cannot give you financial advice, but if you are a UK resident, you may wish to consider using Vulpine Performance Ltd's EIS status to claim back Loss Relief, as this can be a significant benefit, along with Tax Relief. You may be able to recover a significant proportion of your investment, though you may want to get your own independent financial advice. Click here to view Crowdcube's information page regarding EIS Tax Relief for Investors. If you are uncertain of the status of your shareholding, please refer to Crowdcube via support@crowdcube.com. If you have questions regarding the administration process, please email robert.young@rsmuk.com.

As a gesture of our goodwill towards you, we will honour any shareholder discount code that you may have been given when you invested, for one year, until the 1st of June 2018. If you have misplaced your code, or do not know whether you originally qualified to receive one, please email info@vulpine.cc and we will be happy to help you.

    Yours faithfully,
Barry Dunn, CEO, Vulpine & Mango Bikes

I think this means that investors will see nothing.

  • A guy at work bought a Mango bike the other week. He's a bit of a hipster so fits the profile.

Anyway, as noted on the previous page, I can't see this purchase ending well.

  • Any idea if Nick Hussey will have any involvement now or in the future?

  • Interesting, I never thought about what happens the the shareholders when an in-administration company gets bought. I assumed they would continue to own their shares in that company, the only difference being it has a new owner.

  • Nope. The thing they had shares in died.

  • I never had you down as a Geraldine.

  • Just been invited back to the Vulpine site.

I'm not sure that their pricing strategy has been carefully considered.

  • Also the Our Story link doesn't tell any of their story.

They should just link this thread.

  • Again with the discounts.

  • 15% off a ludicrous price is not a discount.

  • Vulpine in still shit and over priced shocker.

  • What if, the new owners were to shift a lot of stock to Sports Direct or Aldi or TK Maxx, at knock down prices ?

Harringtons for £50 ? Worth looking out for ?

  • Harringtons at £250 on the website. I don't think they were high as an RRP. I like my Harrington. It's the jacket that had me start this thread. But under no circumstances would I have paid £250 for it.

  • I doubt they will shift much at those prices. I have plenty of Vulpine gear, most of it new, but never bought at full price. The average discount on RRP worked out at 57%.
I wonder if the £600 jackets made in collaboration with Private White VC will ever appear?
