Actually the touring shorts are still available in my size. So a similar but different question - what's the difference between Touring and Randonee? [Edit: ah, no side pockets is one difference]

Touring, lighter weight, but only a little bit in there latest version, less baggy, less pockets.

I have both, I find the randonee more useful for commutes, more pockets for keys, workpass and stuff.

@villa-ru Cheers chaps. Randonees were the right choice for me. It was just that I saw remaining Touring were at £40...
