Good times. I enjoyed that climb in the rain.
The descent though....

What happened to the pro team midweight bundle? Doesn't seem to be on the website anymore.

I purchased the core stuff.
Shorts- Meh, who started the trend for them being so long, it's horrible. I feel like a skater kid, and I'm 195cm, not exactly short
Jersey- Also Meh, material is pretty crappy, fit is awful
Jacket- Seems very good, not yet used yet but fit is good and it rolls up nice and small

Huh, I always thought the core jerseys looked ace when mates have worn it.

I bought a load of kit to Girona and am washing my first gen onesie every night when I get in and wearing it again the next day. I do have another from last year but need ~1" of length in the torso that it does.l not have. Why did you change the fit Rapha, why?

It's the gripper swathe of doom at the bottom that ends up ripping holes in the shorts unless you roll it up when pulling the shorts up. Also, messes with my tan lines when swopping between them and pro team bibs
Also agree on the material on the core jersey.

I like my core jersey. It's a bit warm as I think was mentioned earlier here but I like the fit and don't have a problem with the material. The only thing I don't like is that it feels like the pockets go up to my shoulder blades... proper stretch to get into them compared to my pro-team jersey (i'm S in core M in PT) or other brands.

Looking at their latest marketing email, what's the difference between the randonee shorts and the all day shorts? (Also, anyone know if the touring shorts are likely to be added to the range again?)
-

Cracked and bought some Core bibs with the discount to see if they're better than V1.
Leg grippers much better but they arrived with lighter marks on the left leg that look like stains or some kind of quality issue with the fabric, and then darker damp looking marks on another panel next to the pad like it's been over-stretched or something, but the right side is fine.
Pretty weird. Going back, never buying Core again.

I do... I really don't want carpal tunnel nor ripped up hands so i wear them. But not those fishnet stupidly expensive rapha ripoffs..
-
• #28742
Having literally just tried them both on, 'all day' are lighter, thinner fabric, more stretchy (inc waistband) but slightly more stiff/'crispy'.
-
• #28743
Ta! Will probably save the tenner and go with the randonee ones then.
-
• #28744
mmmmm, I love wearing crispy shorts

Actually the touring shorts are still available in my size. So a similar but different question - what's the difference between Touring and Randonee? [Edit: ah, no side pockets is one difference]
-
• #28747
I thought the touring were designed to go over bibs, whereas the randonee were more standalone? Through presumably one could do the same with the randonee - might have to size up?
-
• #28748
Yes I read that but wasn't sure what it meant in practice, other than perhaps being sized slightly bigger. But I wanted the side pockets, so Touring not the way to go anyway.
-
• #28749
Touring, lighter weight, but only a little bit in there latest version, less baggy, less pockets.
I have both, I find the randonee more useful for commutes, more pockets for keys, workpass and stuff.

Touring shorts are good, but the lack of pockets is a bit of an issue - YMMV. They're more 'on bike'. They're not coming back - All Day are the replacement. Randonnee are more 'off bike'.
In the market for a new gilet, any thoughts on the new lines collection/recommendations for something that isn't the insulated gilet as I'm not a fan of the new colours
