He'd crashed and was trying to get back to the front group. It was blatant and caught on camera hence the disqualification. But if he'd been getting the magic spanner treatment whilst they gradually towed him back up, no one would've complained.
There's also the fact that he was not driving the car, so the ds who decided that was the right course of action should bear most of the responsibility.

People with lower haematocrit are actually better responders, so it would have done nothing for you.

a pale shadow of Contador's counterattack in 2015's Giro Stage 16 as he slapped the shit out of Astana. I never really liked him till then but what fucking huge balls.

Doesn't seem to say it here with a load of journalists nearby. Admits he could lose it all any of the last 3 days...I hope he doesn't though.

• #12456
try and catch up to some footage of how Dumoulin has taken bidons and gels from the team car, you'll be surprised.
-
• #12457
that was a great show, one of the best stages I've seen

• #12458
Me too. Cajones grande.

Mechanical doping.

That just means you're lazy and your blood is thick with overweight red blood cells.
-
• #12461
Yeah - also stage 17 of the 2012 Vuelta.

That would be kinda funny but I want him to win far more than the others, since they're all scumbags and, forgetting the pink, Tommy D is mancrush material. I had a semi when he chucked that bottle in anger because his veneer cracked a little and we saw a dark side. Mmm dark side...

• #12464
Also when he dropped Quintana at the top of Oropa climb. That was rad.
-
• #12465
Ah, yeah, except when Cadel chased down Schleckles by himself up Galibier, dropping almost everyone else in order to keep the time gap to where he could take him in the TT.

• #12466
People don't complain about a sticky bottle when it's to help an unlucky cyclist catch back up to a group, it's different if they're already in a group and using it to bridge a gap.
-
• #12467
He was in a group though wasn't he? Which is hardly being towed to the back of the field or the cars.
Meh, you can cut it any way you like. I cheered Nibs for his win over Landa but fuck him.
-
• #12468
Yeah, this.
Did I say, fuck him yet?
-
• #12469
That just means you're lazy and thick
Alright, calm down-you don't want to have to call Bupa out to unpucker your face again
-
• #12470
Can I have some of your blood? I'll PM you...
-
• #12471
meh. Popped for a microscopic amount of a weightloss drug. Have no doubt he's done worse but easier to forgive when he's so exciting to watch. Also, the internal struggles vs Armstrong and Bruneel at Astana, the mea culpa after attacking Schleck when he had his mechanical, winning the overall then getting DQ'd. That's fucking hilarious and tragic at the same time.
I like a rider with heavy pathos and Contador has it in buckets now he's been chewed up so much and you know he's never going to win another GT as he's past his prime. Dumoulin is too fresh and chirpy, he's not suffered enough yet.

It's still infected with shitty gram-negative bacteria requiring the daily rigmarole of several antibiotics and hundreds of supplements so I don't think you want it just now. Will fill a couple of ginger bottles for you when I'm better. I've plenty of clean piss if you want though?
-
• #12473
I like your style.
-
• #12474
what can I say? J'ai du vague et du violence dans l'ame...
I have a lot of respect for Dumoulin though-like Contador he's shown himself capable of making his own weather and that's always exciting to watch someone knowing they're capable of lighting it up. For whatever reason Quintana's not on form-we've seen before that he'll ride two weeks of a GT with a virus and doesn't make excuses but on his day he would be fucking just about everyone up on the climbs.

I'm going to whisper it, but is there a possibility that Quintana isn't actually as destructive a climber as he is made out to be?
Just to reiterate, I do love Nibali. He actually managed to win the Tour De France with panache, unlike any other rider this decade.
