You're misplacing arrogance with annoyance.

They didn't work to hurt him but at the same time risk their own positions. If they'd have ridden together the top three would've been more likely to remain top three and they could still have another go in a later stage. They were riding negatively, Tommy D is well within his rights to point this out.

That's not entirely true though, Pinot is more of a threat to them than him, simply given time differences.

To be fair to Nibali, he was only doing what pretty much every other pro rider has done, it's just he got caught on camera.

I don't see everyone bellyaching when riders get the magic spanner or sticky bidon treatment.

Yeah, none of his attacks have looked remotely like sticking. I don't know about the speeds but it could be that or he's just not that good :)

If you're interviewed by 10 people in a short space of time, you're going to repeat the key moment(s) stuck in your head. He was clearly annoyed with their behaviour so why wouldn't he repeat this key fact to journos.

I have definitely been enjoying the shade TD has been throwing at Nibs and Quintana.

The top three did remain top three. Maybe the other two had nothing in them? And Dumoulin did most of the work which could impact his riding today/tomorrow. Seems like a decent result.

Yeah. He's only won two grand tours, Giro at 24 and Vuelta at 26. What a loser-don't know what anyone sees in him.

Wasn't it on camera because it was a key moment? I can't recall exactly, I just know it was pretty dirty. There's also a large difference between his 80kph tow and adding a bit of momentum to get back into the cars after a mechanical.

I think he has been very modest not arrogant. Confidence is not arrogance.

Did you see his interview before the stage? Along the lines of "suffering". If he was arrogant he'd have said "it's a hard stage, but I'll piss it in and those clowns behind me will suffer at my hand".
