Bah, riding down Shelton St going past the Crown & Anchor, van in front jumps on the brakes, I stop a few metres behind assuming there is traffic in front of van but instead van man then reverses alarmingly quickly back towards me. So I try to scramble out the way to the side (surprisingly hard from stationary!) and he just clips my back wheel taking me off.
"Sorry I missed my turn" is the explanation and off he goes down Neal St I think it is.
Adrenaline has annoyingly melted my brain sufficiently to forget the reg. Bike in one piece aside from a shifter banged out of place and some superficial pannier damage.
