Ok so here's a frame that has been bought and sold on LFGSS a couple of times. I've just acquired it off Coby aka @Lanterne_Rouge. I have to say I've got to know him a little bit and he's a thoroughly top bloke. The frameset was immaculately packed with a little gift in the form of a French language book (I'm trying to learn) packed with it.
The frameset came with some Shimano mechs and an Ultegra crank. When Coby had it he'd built it with bar end shifters for a bit of a long distance riding holiday.
On acquisition it was my intention to build it up with original kit...but now I'm starting to waiver. I have a pair of Campag Zondas which I bought with a view to put on my Bianchi Intenso a year or so ago. Indolence led to them being just sat in a box but I pulled the out to sit the frameset on...and my mindset started to change.
I also acquired a year or so ago a NOS Campag Record 10spd carbon Chainset from Merlin for about £80. It is a work of art and so now I'm thinking of putting a contemporary Campag groupset on it.
Unfortunately money is an object and so the remainder of the groupset will be Veloce. I'm not sure whether to go black or silver for a traditional look so open to opinions on that. More to follow...
