I was brought up to never use a diver's as a camping/outdoors knife. So its never an option.
But yes its an option. I was going to hold off on fixed full tang knife until after i got a folding saw.
I managed to get a knife I like from a prepper site. LOL. Definitely zombie apocalypse knife. Actually, looks more like Aliens type knife... But it'll make me enjoy whittling tinder from branches easier.

Does it really need to fold? Seems a nice dive knife or similar would give you a similar fixed blade
