It never completed a race back then so I doubt it will now, his 911 managed 4 laps of a 2hr race at Spa on the weekend.

Ran out of petrol or exploded? Something in-between?

Engine let go. Apparently a big 'ting' followed by a scary rattle. They started it again briefly in the pits, sounds like a valve or rocker issue to me.
