Not looked in to it but off the top of my head, will the engine and gearbox physically fit? How much does the lot weigh? Will that upset the weight balance of the car?
Also finding a decent engine that does not benefit from a rebuild. The 2zze is the same block so should just fit in without any issues. The wiring 'should' be all the same and the ecu should be plug and play.

The swap should be quite straight forward, a day or two once the engine and box have been sourced.

Awesome. I'd love to see this built. Got anything else that you're constructing that I could make cooing noises at?

Nothing, have sort of stopped buying cars as nothing has jumped out at me.

the wheel arches are the real failures.
they make awesome racing cars, though. the really early v6 jobbies are hrs eligible, too, apparently.

Still not seeing the Corvette thing. And Marcoses have looked like that since before the Stingray.
There are usually a couple in the historic races.
My pal ran a 90s one in the British GTs that will soon become eligible and he's planning a triumphant return. It never completed a race back then so I doubt it will now, his 911 managed 4 laps of a 2hr race at Spa on the weekend.

Ran out of petrol or exploded? Something in-between?

Engine let go. Apparently a big 'ting' followed by a scary rattle. They started it again briefly in the pits, sounds like a valve or rocker issue to me.

I dropped a valve into a cylinder once, it made something of a mess.

When I say I, it was a combination of my driving and an Italian engineer, plus the FIAT factory, and likely a string of previous owners.
This is clever, I shall use this in the future!
