I was riding near the Tate Modern this morning, and I was thinking about how art changes and how people change (that's the slogan of the Tate by the way) and then, as I pulled up to the lights to head East, I saw the bike in the picture below. This is the DBAD bike. This is the frame that @amey said he'd brazed on Paul mounts to and disassembled with couplers, something akin to re-arranging the bones of a person or changing the DNA sequence of a person to turn it into one of those Jude Law pleasure-bots from A.I. And in the process dragging the entire community through 44 text pages mixed media and assemblagés of ephemera. I took a photograph of amey's bike below as I wanted unpack the hegemonic narrative that amey's created by this Painted White Falsehood. I understand it's also a self-serving way to insert my own personhood into @amey hagiography of privileged Eurocentric S+S couplers but I also I think it redistributes power to back to 'spaces and objects' as things of value, especially pre-modern steel frames like this. Anyway, here is the photo. I think it's import the whole community Weigh in on it
