Melon Optics are a pretty cool company and nice products at a good price.
I've got some of their Parker goggles for mountain biking and they're incredibly good. I've been on to them about potentially getting an option for clear lenses on glasses for road cycling and maybe even looking into some glasses with interchangeable lenses. Fingers crossed they come through with something as it would be nice to have another option for a classic style cycling glasses.

Genuine version of poc half blades on sale at Canyon outlet today only. Good price, almost worth spending over the china versions.

Picked up some of these the other day. Make me look like an absolute tit - mission accomplished. Great optics.

Got me some China versions a few pages back. They're ok. Might persuade me to part with some of my hard-earned for these. Presumably the lenses are waaaaay better?
Edit: I see you found yours too.

I have no idea. The lenses are okay on the china ones, but I wouldn't really know what would make them not okay, having never experienced the premium shiz. The only gripe I have with my china ones are they sit on my head wonky, and thats not because I'm wonky, its the frames fault.

Fake pocs didn't stand up to my cross country tour. Broke in too placed before I stood on them, which was the final nail in the coffin. I do have a pretty large head though.

Whats the difference between these?
The m frame is an older design? No vents on m frame. Im mostly interested in which (if either) is a bigger lens.

Anyone know of a strap ("croakie"?) that would fit Oakley Radar?
Was looking at LM's Badlands article (https://cyclingtips.com/2020/09/lachlan-mortons-latest-719-km-in-43-5-hours-through-the-badlands-of-spain/) and noticed he had a camo one for his POCs and finding a place for sunnies is always and issue for me. Used to swap between sunnies and clear and keep them in the rainjacket pocket on my saddle bag but they get scuffed. Down the front of the jersey or in the helmet always ends up with them on the ground. Jersey pockets in use or fill with dirt and scratch up too.

This is also to my interests

Would the lenses not just get filled up with sweat dangling there?
Something like : https://chums.com/ should work.

Wouldn't any old neoprene strap work?
-

Sweat tends to run down my face and drip from my beard so I think they'd be safe. Plus they'd tend to dangle at night when I needed better night vision and be on my face when it's hot.

Dunno. The last sunglasses strap I had went in the bin after I cut off a pair of ski glasses (ski glasses, btw, are not so great for commuting with their big eyeball vents)

Fair enough. I'm not genetically inclined to have any experience of cycling with a beard so I can't comment there.

Replace beard with chin.

Yeah, those Chums peeps have a few options. I wonder if they put pressure points on your head though where they grip the arms?
Maybe something nice and subtle like

Hello early 90s me on the beach.

You can get them on ebay for a couple of pounds, so not the end of the world if they're shit.
-
• #647
Yeah, but I prefer to buy something good, once these days. I throw enough shit in the bin as it is.
