Perfect, trains not till late tomorrow afternoon so we're day tripping to the mumbles, so I shall be passing through Swansea anyway.

The whole thing? Enjoy...

You're a drugdealer aren't you? I knew it.

No probs. Check your messages, I have some XTR pads and I live on the way to the Mumbles.
Just realised the shop is closed today. Been off work and it's screwing with my sense of passing time. -

The plan was to do the whole thing, but my tires were totally shredded, and I wasted lots of time repairing them so I binned it off at Devils Dyke and headed to Brighton at 7pm.
I was impressed and humbled at how tough it was and the scenery was truly breath taking.

I managed to finish the bike, front brake worked (needed a decent bedding in though), bike was comfy and fun to ride.
Smashed into a tree on Saturday and fucked my hand, couldn't ride Sunday. Good times.

Need a mountain bike pref 29er fully rigid (i'll use as an excuse to upgrade my suspension and transfer later on..) for the missus and towpath/fireroad adventures.
F+F is my sticking point, the rest i'll trawl the forums and sites for and raid my parts box. She is 6ft.. so minimum 19" required.
On one
SurlyWhat are my other options?
-
• #10392
These were rad if you can find one used. Takes gears.
-
• #10393
I own the non-EBB version of this, great frame, but a bit limtited in tyre size 2.3ish max
-

I always thought the Genesis Fortitude was pretty neat. Geometry designed around a non-suspension corrected fork, so no good for squidgy upgrades though.
also came in an Alfine version, I wouldn't bother with that though. I think the Longitude is the latest continuation of this, actually.

Should I send the boys round?
-

Kona Unit is nais. Or any decent 29er frame and a Salsa CroMoto fork
-
• #10397
Singular Swift is a nice option, my Marin Pine Mountain is pretty ace in general though is 650b+.
A lot of 2016/17 rigid bikes seem to be 650b+ rather than 29er it seems. -
• #10398
I ave a swift and it's wicked, get one
-
• #10399
Is this the same? I'm looking for that kink in the stays, suspect due to XL geo it's been smoothed out?

Thanks for all the suggestions.
@TomvanHalen google image search for "Salsa CroMoto fork" has thrown up much inspiration.
I now have too many choices, and it's not even for me! The Teal Inbred is current colour favourite. (She rides a Bianchi too, for the colour. Not the bike)
My shop in Swansea will have some, but probably not the cooling fin type.

But then if you don't want to go all the way to Swansea I'd try the Afan Valley Bike Shed which is located at the Afan Argoed center or Skyline Cycles which is located at Glyncorrwg. I imagine that they're carrying those pads, but probably better to phone them first.
