I've no idea - it popped up in my instagram feed and thought it looked nice, hadn't heard of a thing like this before.

No reason not to. only thing i'd say is that if you were to go discs down the road, you may also want thru axle's etc...

Output of the front light is fucked? Test that.
Could be it's lower than 6V or something I suppose
Bingo. Got a new light from the LBS and everything is now working.

Just received my Dynamo Hub wheel in the post and a B&M Lumotec Cyo T Premium. Hooray!
I think I've got my head around wiring the light to the hub (and have discovered I'm missing a connector for the hub!), but am confused by the cables for the taillight.
I will be running without taillight for the time being - what the devil does one do with the wires that would normally connect to the taillight? I presume I don't just leave them hanging mournfully.

I just wrapped them with some electrical tape and went on with my life.

Wrap 'em individually though - don't let them short out.
-
• #783
^ indeed, forgot to mention that. I they do short out the light will turn off but should be fine as soon as you fix the problem.

Awesome, that I can do - thanks for the answer!

Just popped my dynowheel in - seems to work but it's so damn sunny that you could barely see it even in my underground car park. Does the placement look daft? Seems a bit fragile up there, but can't see a better option.

Could you turn the bracket upside down? less chance of stuff on the rack interfering
-
• #787
Perhaps mount it with a p-clip on the outside bracket under the rack?
-
• #788
I had a similar problem with a Soma rack and flipping the bracket over (as @TomvanHalen suggested) worked nicely.

I'll give it a go. Cheers chaps.

How I did mine:
Works perfectly, never in the way.

That looks really tidy. I've got some metal scraps in the cupboard: may have a go at something like that.
In the meantime, my rear light has arrived. The connectors go to the front light, I presume - so do I solder the bare wires to these terminals?

Yes, you could solder it, but it's a bit permanent and would be an absolute pain. I'd suggest you get a spare connector and use that, at least for one.
Just to check, your front light will have a long wire and a pair of male spades on some pigtails (or maybe on the housing). Your rear should come with an entirely separate cabl (is the one you're showing in the photo?). The long wire from the front light goes to the hub and the separate cable joins the rear to the front. -

I've got the hub and front light already running on the bike, so I ordered a rear light and B&M cable (both my lights are B&M). I'm a bit annoyed that it's come without connectors on both ends, frankly - do they sell the connectors separately?
-
• #794
I'm surprised it didn't come with a pair of spade connectors to attach once you've shortened it. That being said, spades aren't great and I took the time to replace them with bullet connectors when I was moving stuff around at one point. You might not be able to entirely avoid them though (I know I wasn't, I had to a make a few 'adapter' sections). Maybe solder some pigtails onto the rear light and use bullet connectors everywhere else you can?

You put those black plastic clips over the bracket to keep all the wires tidy

So the little screw snugs up against a terminal too, so I just put bare wire behind them. Connectors at other end fit onto the front light. An entire roll of black electrical tape sorted out the stuff between. Just need a p-clip now to sort out the front light.

Hey. I'm two weeks into a nyc to Seattle bike tour and the charging on my luxos u seems to have stopped working. I know others on the forum have had trouble too.
The commonish stand light always being on issue started a couple of months ago but it everything was working ok aapart from that. Last week one day the red light wasn't coming on when the phone was pluged in but I think it was because the connector wasn't attached properly. I fiddled and got it working again.
Today even with the USB adaptor unplugged in the red charge light isn't coming on at all. The headlamp keeps turning itself on (I wonder is this to do with overflow from the cache battery). I can still toggle on and off the high beam so I'm guessing the battery is still holding charge. It has been very wet so far so could be a factor.
Does anyone have any tips? I really hope it isn't completely fucked because It would be a nightmare to send it back to Germany while on tour. Also how are B&M to deal with warranty wise. Cheers

Not a dynamo light question per se, but here goes anyway...
I have a dynamo front hub and a B&M USB Charger.
I use this to keep Garmin, phone etc. charged up on tours, but I'd also like the option to be able to charge up my lights.Problem is, my current lights do not function at the same time as charging. Are there lights that do? I don't want a permanent set of dynamo lights on the bike - Id rather be able to move them between bike with Dynamo and other bikes without.
Any suggestions?

The Exposure Revo is designed to be dynamo powered. If it can be plugged to a small battery pack as well then it could fit your bill?
Another option could be any light powered by a battery pack that is also charged by USB, and have two packs.
Is that his own creation? This has been available some time now: http://www.velolumino.com/tmat-stem-switch2.html
