Allegedly they used the wrong rubber on early ones which caused them to deteriorate faster than they should - both mine got so baggy they span around the lever when you shifted. Can't remember the part number but you just need the shimano replacements. Mine have done about 1500 miles so far and doing much better than the first pair.
Various minor changes and adjustments on my CDF - straggler forks, 32c gravelkings, 105 chainset, new hoods to replace the floppy original ones... have done a mixture of riding on and off road with this setup, love this bike. Not the zippiest but smooth on and off road, good for skidz and jumpz, handles singletrack well but also fast enough to ride on a road ride with road bikes. Great all rounder and awesome tourer as well.
