Abandoned by someone I built a new bike for they have now asked me to sell this half decent Motobecane. Back tyre as shown is shot but I will chuck in a decent one. Rideable as is, would benefit from some TLC and would make a nice SS/fix conversion with new wheels which it could do with anyway.
On the plus side: actually a nicely made frame in double-butted 'super-legere' tubing. Paint is mainly good under the grime. Headset and BB both smooth and would probably last a good while with some new grease. Nice chainset. It's rideable.
On the downside: usual French nonsense with threads, stem size etc. I can re-tap the pedal threads if you want different pedals, rest off it presents the usual (but not insurmountable) challenges. That said, nothing in that area really needs changing. Wheels are mismatched and a bit crap. Saddle is hideous. No bar tape (obvs). Small dent in top tube but nothing to worry about.
Got to be worth £100 even if just for frame/fork/BB/headset/cranks? Ride it away (please) from SE1/Waterloo. Viewing welcome. Tyre-kickers not.
