Subtle changes, bugs and feedback

So, just occasionally, I'd like to reply to my own posts, but I can only edit them, not reply to them. Is there any way to do this?

The reasoning is:

1. You can edit.
   
2. People bump the hell out of threads when they can reply to themselves.
