Dude, its not that complicated. You can make this with a drill press or hell hand tools if you are at all handy

I thought you meant have a machine shop make me one, which is very pricey for one off parts. Admittedly I could make myself one but I'm a bit time poor at the moment and I don't have access to a lathe or drill press anymore.
It will always be an option but if the Look one will work I'd rather use that. By the time I've bought myself a drill tap and a 16mm piece of alu the price will probably be more than ordering the piece from JeJames. Speaking of which, I may just order it and return it if it doesnt work

Cost mainly. If the Look type will fit this frame its £8 delivered (and I could have it by the end of the week) versus spending what could amount to a LOT of money on a one off machined part that could take weeks to be made.
As much as using a nut and bolt with the stripped piece would work, I want this be my nice bike and it will always bother me that its a messy looking bodge. If the Look clamp doesnt work out I could use it as a stop gap while I make myself a proper one
