Just playing through Freedom Fighters again (see above), and would recommend checking that out. More of an urban guerilla setting than your typical modern military game but fits the bill otherwise.
Runs perfectly find on Win10 also. Basic tweak to a .ini file to get a modern resolution and you're all set.

What's the pinnacle of modern military (tactical) shooters? Cos I'd like a go. Preferably something with suitable AI so that johnny no-mates here can play on my own with a NPC squad that knows what it's doing.
