James Rix broke the course record on H25/2 this morning. He held the record for 20 minutes, then John Dewey broke it again, beating the time before today by over a minute, with 47:35.
For my part, I did 57:55. I was hoping to break the hour at some point this season, but I didn't actually think it was going to happen. I'm very pleased with that time.
Sadly all while all this was going on one of the riders was hit by a driver who was adjusting their radio. She has broken her shoulder and something else (possibly hip) but is in the John Radcliffe and apparently otherwise alright. There wasn't a huge amount of signage on the road, but she can't have been the first rider the driver had passed, and it could have been much much worse.
