I work in a bike shop and I'm well aware of how it all works. I'm just genuinely curious what the pay is. Your reluctance to offer up any info regarding makes me feel like it's low...
Not a dig - just wanna know. If you have no power to change it: just tell us!

Basically I wasn't going to bullshit you all and out some crap like 'competitive pay. We pay somewhat similar to other retail jobs. There is a small amount of personal commission which enables the people who are motivated to potentially earn more and if you want to learn more about the job including pay I am happy to meet up.
I am not going to get into a pay debate cause ultimately I won't win, I have no power to change it, all I can do is make sure the people who choose to work for the money we offer enjoy coming to work, hopefully learn a thing or 2, and get to enjoy some of the benefits of being 'in the industry'.
