  • Aldi do a really solid range of cycling friendly food. Pressed fruit ones are super cheap, and also vegan protein bars for 50p ('Hike' ones). It's an absolute god send for whole foods, similar price for nuts etc to my local pay-by-weight wholefoods shop. Also sell proper peanut butter, and cheap flax/linseed, soy milk, almond milk etc. They just need to start selling tofu...

(I realise it sounds like I work for them or something - I don't.)

  • Agreed on Aldi - however mine is always so damn busy. Need to go out my way to get a peaceful shop. Their hummus and falafel are always good if not sold out. Fruit and veg is a bit meh tho

  • I work next door to one so use it a lot for afternoon snacks. Nuts are the same price as crisps so it's a decent option. Last week they had decent avocados for 59p so had a few days of Avocado, pitta and falafel lunches and it was glorious.
Veg is a bit hit and miss, but pretty good for stocking up on leafy greens. Never going to be as cheap as a proper greengrocer though.
