  • My reptile brain kicks in and pulls my front brake whilst steering at the same time. I go into a massive endo and actually swerve on my front wheel whilst the rear is a good foot or so off the tarmac. Release the front brake to drop the endo and miss the kerb stone by fractions.

    that is exactly how I attempted to avoid the van that right hooked me a few years back. front wheel endo skid then release brake and try to steer away from the collision, except in my case the twat still smashed me with the side of his van. would have felt pretty badass if he hadn't though.

  • Tried that to avoid an oncoming drunk non-lighted cyclist on a narrow path lately.

    It was a gravel path though. Front wheel slid out, hands and knee knackered, pants killed.
