From MetOffice:
Today:
A dry but cloudy start, with an odd spot of rain at first. Turning drier, brighter and warmer for a time through the day, but cloud returning, with further rain pushing across Kent by dusk. Maximum Temperature 20 °C. -

Humpf. I've put the mudguards on and packed the rain jacket.

Right, cards on the table time...
Unless the forecast significantly improves over the next few hours I'm off to IKEA too.

If anyone is actually going to Ikea, I could do with one of these picking up.
And some meatballs.

Weather should be mid teens..
Oh dear.. this was the last post I read before packing my 'summer' gear this morning..

I've gone skinsuit!

I'm going to bring my backpack with a full set of dry clothes again. Coincidently, like I did the last time we did this ride

I am weighing up rain jacket and mudguards vs Ikea.
My father, who is not a slight man, just sat down on my garden sofa (what?) And it now looks like the attached.
It comes from IKEA, who have them in stock...

I was going to come out and tell tales of Welsh valleys and mountain passes, but I really really need a cheese grater that not only grates, but also collects all the cheese in a bowl, allowing easy cheese distribution...

It's not a bad shout. The beer is reasonably priced.

Change of plan, Zara Home instead.

Heavy rain still forecast. Even tho I fitted my mudguard I'm out. After getting drenched on the way home last night I'm really not keen to do 30 miles in the wet tonight.
Are others going to do it? We could postpone it a week if enough want to. There is no guarantee it will be any drier of course.

As someone who's wet weather gear consists of a boil-in-the-bag jacket and an ass-saver, I'd be perfectly content with postponing.

I'll be teetering on the fence then, and watch the rain radar closer to the time

It's already raining here. I don't think I've ever bailed on a forum ride before but I'm also leaning towards bailing on this one I'm afraid. With the clothes I have with me it's difficult to imagine I'll be anything other than a shivering wreck by the start, let alone the end.
Would be happy to do next week (or even Saturday morning - or both) if anyone else fancied it..

Think we have to make a decision now for the sake of the ride-out mob...
Calling @Rod_Munch, come in @Rod_Munch
I mean I don't want to be overly negative, but http://weatherbagel.com/f/1198194c-9ab3-40da-b31a-47d6e3cee4b5
