Roll on a couple of years and via Charlie i end up in the Clunker Classic drunk death race which just happens to be several miles from home.
Heard rumours of it for years........
Managed 2 attempts.
1) Managed 2nd, thought i had won, Vince was most of the way through his pint at the bar finish line.......... i pedalled my tits off and never saw him, Vince had won several times before, and Vinces bikes had won with someone else on it.
Pretty much the same, shit brakes, milk carton mudguards, DH saddle slammed to top tube as it was all downhill.........apart from the long walk up.
2) Actually got up front and first for a few seconds but the flappy frame and dicky overtaking move through rocks mullered the front wheel, fixed flat, took off, pinch flatted, did last 2 miles on flat front at speed to 22nd
