Of course, I only have it there as an option for the case that I just don't like the feel of a fixed gear. Small things like potentially not being able to track stand fixed, and the ride feel. But I'm sure this won't be the case, in which case to my knowledge having just a front brake on a fixed gear is sufficient.

Probably, I needed quite a few oh shit moments before I decided to start wearing helmet. But I've kept safety in mind with my frame choice since it has drillout for a rear brake caliper just in case I realise I'm not actually cut out for the fixed life I'll just go back to single speed.
