Brilliant.
Or set up a mist of it at night near tourists.

When looking for info about the origin of this "lifepaint", I found about similar solutions sold on ebay for the purpose you said (car plates etc)

What? How oblivious are you? Nobody should have to “scream out” to you to get your attention while you’re driving a car. You should already be giving it, and undividedly so.

Pretty soon we’ll all be walking around town like Dynamo from “The Running Man.”

Volvo promises 'deathproof cars' - will they also be 'deathproof' for pedestrians and cyclists I wonder?

Hmmm, not sure how they came to that conclusion... how could there not be enough evidence?

how could there not be enough evidence?
The footage doesn't clearly show who is driving the vehicle, that's what is disputed.

anyone tried using this stuff under a clear coat?

You can't varnish retroreflective beads, apparently. You could try it though. Prove me wrong.

Possibly of interest? http://www.glowtec.co.uk/reflective-paint-info.htm (not used myself, but have seen it discussed on another forum.)

Interesting...Looks like Volvo told a porky on their LifePaint TV advert by claiming the stuff worked well on bike frames as well as clothing.
Turns out it doesn't, and the advertising regulator has slapped them down and said they need to stop making that claim:"The ASA considered that the average consumer would expect LifePaint to be able to produce a similar effect to that seen in the ads. The video gave equal prominence to the frames of the bicycles as it did to the clothing of the riders, and showed the product being sprayed on a bike frame, so we considered consumers would expect the product to work on both surface types.
"Although we acknowledged that the video provided by Volvo showed that the product did initially produce a reflective effect when applied to metallic surfaces, we also understood that the effects shown on the bicycle frames in the ad were achieved with a different product.
"We therefore concluded that the ad exaggerated the performance of LifePaint and was misleading."

loljk I was in this ad.
Paid me fifty squid before work.
Product was pretty rubbish - I do remember the production guys saying it rubbed off of most surfaces.
Nah I'm set thanks. But if people want to spray it on car number plates..... no more speeding fines trololol
