Few years ago I read that Mercier are the same as KHS flites, made from basic reynolds tubes and good basic frames as far as I have expierienced few Flites

Over here they're seen much the same way I gather Dolan's are in the UK: low-end, mass-produced frames that are a pretty great value if you're just looking to get into fg or ss riding.
Or at least that's how the Kilo TT and Kilo WT are seen, I can't really speak to the road bikes and other stuff they make.

I used to have an old (and made in France) track Mercier, hence my interest. Was a fairly basic one (I mean tubing and details suggested a quite entry level) but it had nice Spidel track crankset. As most bikes you let go to make room for another project I do miss it...
