Did the 10 mile 'walking out of darkness' walk around london with the Mind over Marathon runners and their coaches yesterday. turned out to be more like 12.5 miles so spent around 4.5 hours on my feet. other than some epic blisters it went well and was perfectly timed for the start of my spitfire scramble training as time on feet is going to be key.
upping my running mileage is coming along very slowly. can run 5k again now but am seriously relying on my weight to plummet in next 9 weeks to make things manageable.
in other news the forerunner 935 is amazing compared to my old 620. but for the money it bloody well should be.
next item on the list is to find a decent pair of trail shoes in next few weeks. any recommendations for the current forum favourites.
I'm in Scott Kinablue 3.0s and they're really good on both trail and road. Decent on wet meadow grass if you happen to be running across that. Wouldn't trust them on a sloppy up/downhill for much though.
