  • MGSV is probably best appreciated by someone new to the series. Mechanically amazing, the storyline is a complete mess and struggles and fails to tie the other games' stories together.

  • The stories have always been a bit of a mess, like they had a list of words they wanted to get in somehow and made it up as it went along. E.g. Shagohod. MGSV just takes this to a new level.

Really fun game though, don't bother trying to be too stealthy on the first play through because there's load of shenanigans to be had with explosives.

  • I'm finding this already. I'm not so keen on the weird fire ghoul dude and the jumpy smoke fiends but the Afghanistan amusement is amusing. Haven't quite figured out mother base but I've certainly unlocked a load of stuff I'm enjoying using. Fulton all the things. :)

  • Have to disagree there. 2 and 3 had pretty solid storylines and 1 was pretty basic but broke down the boundaries between video games and cinema. 4 was a bit of a mishmash to try to tie up all the loose ends and 5 was ultimately completely unnecessary. It should be noted that Kojima was pushed into all of them after the first MGS. I still think the storyline from 3 is one of the best in any video game.
