  • Lastly, given the footprint of your front rack, maybe a rack-top bag that's mounted on the front instead? something like this allow you to strap it directly on the rack with no interference with the handlebar, brakes, and most especially the shifter.

  • Yeah this type of thing is an option. But a bit ugly!

    Have bar end shifters that are well out of the way as I have silly bars, so shouldn't be an issue for any set up.

  • Yeah it's defintely ugly! but it seemed to fit your bill quite well, and lightweight too.

    Reckon you can find a nice looking one with some elbow grease from Google, but the old cheap Alura Night Vision one is cheap and reliable.

  • Have you considered continuing to use the rack as you have been but adding a top tube bag or a frame bag?
