  • Obviously the reaction in the office was one of muted disbelief - she rowed back pretty quickly when people started to ask exactly why she felt that way and clammed up. Didn't get to the nub of why but I assume rather like @rhb said it's a "being a winner" thing.

    It's about group validation. I doubt it's conscious.

    Many other intelligent discerning cyclists like yourself value quality. That is why they choose the best British hand made bags.

    We are geared towards feeling more comfortable doing the same thing as others. Backing the winning team ties into that same need.
