Try using Fuelly. You text them the mileage, litres for a full fill up and tmcost per litre and it will track spend, mpg etc.

Welcome to the "benefits" of constant all wheel drive... It is and right? 2 litre or 2.5? The 2 litre is nice to spin up so not surprising the fuel usage

I've spent nearly 100 quid on fuel this week already, it seems the Impreza is getting worse mileage than the landrover did even on motorways. I'm gonna fill up the tank, reset the trip odomoter and see what the actual numbers are. Other than feeling mildly guilty about the environment I don't really mind because for now work pay for fuel.
